First principles aren’t a framework—they’re a survival instinct now. Taste, discipline, and stamina will separate those who scale from those who disappear.
Thinking how best to apply some of these trends in traditional industries eg. My own whisky business, and also with respect to traditional portfolio investments.
I still think Fed has enormous influence on bond markets. Earlier it influenced them by reducing interest rates and buying treasury bonds at the same time . This time , it is only reducing interest rates but not buying/significantly reducing its balance sheet thereby resulting in increased bond yields. It is still exerting significant influence but this time by not participating.

Taste is judgment. Discipline is strategy. Stamina is alpha. In a world without free money, survival is the product.

Chamath, love the 2 sides of scaling (energy and compute). I mentioned the same to a friend this week.
Exciting to see the scramble for energy kick off in the US. Nat gas powered data centers are coming fast.
Would love to see hardtech and manufacturing investments that align w/ emergency production of Anduril’s aquatic drones.
Hi Chamath,
what can 68 do better than Cursor and similar and partially upcoming products from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.?
Incredible post. Thanks for writing this.
I think we need to refocus on trust. Until you fix that AI is unconstrained to wreak havoc in the world.
Would you agree?
