I’m often asked how I quickly synthesize information and form opinions. The value, to me, of doing this can be summarized as follows: 1) Be more informed about technology, markets and the economy. 2) Improve my situational awareness about trends and competitors. 3) Have a clearer picture of how a company or sector is doing over another. 4) Make better decisions.
Not sure how extensive these "deep dives" are, but the questions you seem to be answering in the content calendar seem quite basic... Personally would like to see an example deep dive before committing $99 per month (aka per $99 deep dive). Love the learning framework though!
Big fan of Chamath and the All-In crew, but don't they have enough money? I'd upgrade if it included an invite to the summit or learning in person on a yacht in Portofino ;)
I'll play devil's advocate and argue that while they could subsidize it with their own cash, from a business perspective it's the right move. But a masterclass in Portofino with Sacksipoo, the Dictator, Queen of Science, and the world's best moderator would be nice indeed! haha
Clearly I'm going to wait to see the free december release. But if we're honest, $99 ain't much for the potential value. He's a billionaire looking to discuss topics he's actively working in (for the most part), and has had huge resources to filter information at his disposal.
$99 to shortcut the legitimacy and learning curves is pretty damn cheap for his largely wealthy SV tech heads.
@chamath I have subscribed but I am not sure that I am receiving your deep dives. Is there an email or a way I can contact to confirm that the subscription is active and when I can expect to see one? Thanks!
Why aren’t you taking on America’s amp up to massively consequential election (between sociopathic criminal and good guy from a bygone political era on the decline)?
I am big fan of yours, in terms of my intellectual stimulation, your posts and talk contribute to a great extent. I would love to subscribe but i wont be sharing my payment details over X, if there is any other route i can opt for (including substack itself) would be keen
Also $99 for monthly post looks on a higher side without knowing the details of monthly deepdives and how extensive they would be ... is there a way to get more clarity on this
The learning curve that you have mentioned above are quite similar to many people who are involved in research and analysis work follow. When I read your deep dive lesson plan, I didn't find anything super exciting and relevant.
I feel your thoughts on putting the first deep dive for free is a brilliant idea and I will look forward to reading it.
On X the subscription appears to be $9 a month. There are few small typos in the letter so maybe the $99 is a typo? (If you need a writer or copy editor I’m available)
Deep dive on what is stopping us from transitioning to both types of nuclear, but for fission, how to make nuclear waste reusable and safe. Currently, we bury the waste, which can have long lasting effects if the storage areas do work properly. Is it possible to have a plug and play reactor with this nuclear waste that could be shipped worldwide while also using the waste as fuel (the us has quite a bit of it)? There are ways to recycle nuclear waste, but my basic understanding is that the economics make it impractical. If that is the only reason, what type of incentives and fines could the govt put into place to guide the energy transition in this direction? Does it make the most sense for helping stabilize the climate by reducing pollution (carbon capture methods are probably necessary) through this method and can it be achieved in a timeline that matters? Are SMR a better fit? Could they be modified to be able to handle nuclear waste? Is there a batter method for energy production that can reduce pollution at the same time? Ie. We generate so much power, that we can run an enegy intensive carbon capture machine simultaneously.
How do the other renewable energies fit into this equation while still keeping a focus on reducing pollution in the fastest manner possible?
I'm interested to see what you put together on the entire energy topic. My comments are just a small piece of a much larger issue of energy.
Thank you, Chamath. This will help me democratize first principles thinking not only as a future physician but also in my startup company, AL STOCK TRADES.
Thank you!

P.S. If I may, add an option for a yearly payment plan where people can pay in full, resulting in a heavily discounted price. Just a thought; you are the boss.
This looks like a great first step in allowing the community that values and executes on your insights to develop a deeper relationship. Look forward to engaging.

They want to turn the All In brand into a bigger enterprise. This one is not about the money, neither is the pod or the Summits.

Looks like he'll be giving a free deep dive on Dec 1st according to one of the last paragraphs
Good point, must've missed that. I guess we'll see if it's really worth 99 buckaroos

Thank you very much Chamath.
Hi, as a deep dive subscriber how do we access the Q&A if we are not a X subscriber?
Hi, I have been a paid member for the month however the AI deep dive hasn't arrived yet. Any plans for when this will be released?
@chamath I have subscribed but I am not sure that I am receiving your deep dives. Is there an email or a way I can contact to confirm that the subscription is active and when I can expect to see one? Thanks!
How about scholarship subscriptions?

Maybe in the September, October time frame…

I like this a lot
